Case study.

Spring 2008, we got our first sharp client cases at Hyper Island. The aim for this module was for all group members to maintain their roles that they had choosen during the specialisation, meaning that the designers were designers, and the tech studens had the tech roles and so on. My group got the Red Cross Youth Association, and was to create a campaign site for their focus area this year, wich was Sex-HIV. How you can achieve HIV trough sex and what you can do to keep yourself protected.

Challange:
The challenge on this project was not only the time we had, but also some personal problems for more then one of our group members. I lost my home and went to my home town for several days, another guy went skiing for a week, and had an injurie and was away for another week. So we pretty much had the time against us, starting with 13 full days til deadline, meaning over 400 hours of production. And ending up with 300ish hours because of bad luck. Anyways, our brief was to deliver a flash quiz, a logo, a domain name, a design concept and a completley working html site optimized for search engines.

Solution:
There is not realy a solution to this challange. We pulled ourselves togehter, had a lot of meetings, tried to optimize as much as possible. Did a lot of planing, breaking down our "to do's" in small pieces and helped eachother as much as possible. And it ended up pretty well. Our solution was to go the other way around, working with a fun informative 80ish kinda site, rather then trying to scare kids as so many others have tried before.

Team:
I had 3 other guys from Hyper Island working by my side during this project.
