General Electrics was doing a major campaign for their environmentalfriendly energy. Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Fransisco who owned the account asked us at North Kingdom to work together with them on this one. It was extremly challenging and fun since one part of the site was an augmented reality experience, meaning that you print a marker, hold it up against your webcam, avtivize a flashapplication and you'll then be allowed to control a 3D modell using your printed marker. Try it out at the link below!
Challenge:
The challenge here was the obvious one. It was at the time a whole new
technique that there wasn't to much documentation about so we had a lot of development to do. And as always,
a tight time schedule ofcourse.
Solution:
I really think we pulled this of very well. Very happy with the end result and
how we got the code and 3D together. We were using an open source AR (Augmented reality) software to create this,
got a lot of help from that, it's now a comercial license tho so it's not possible to get the code :)
